The payoff you get out of apathetic attitudes
☀️ POSITIVE CHAIN REACTION: Taking greater responsibility for influencing our mindset & programing our thoughts positively
Attitude doesn’t affect outcome, but it does impact experience.
It’s the force multiplier that gives us leverage in whatever direction we choose.
Take optimism and positivity. These traits won’t increase our success, but they will increase our field of vision, which will allow us to better notice the opportunities that lead to success.
Like a single person who is enthusiastic about getting back out there, so they try a variety of dating strategies to boost their odds of finding someone special. By sweeping their romantic radar widely and frequently, they don’t force more potential lovers out of the woodwork, they simply train themselves to better notice the ones who are already there.
By seeing beyond what the cynics seem to be fixated on or worrying about, it appears that they have a better outcome, when it’s really just a better experience.
Negativity and fear are work the same way, but on the other end of the mindset spectrum.
These traits won’t decrease our success, but they will make us afraid of things that might lead to success, like being decisive, taking risks and creating innovative solutions.
That’s how people will cheat themselves out of winning. Their damaging mindset creates a chain reaction that fractions off and becomes its own negative reality.
It’s quantum physics. If you’re cynical, your thoughts will take a different trajectory than if you were optimistic.
Take the employee who is cynical about making a difference at her company, so she continually stays meek, quiet and unopinionated at all times to avoid rejection.
By contracting herself into a ball of fear and isolation, she doesn’t necessarily do bad work, she simply trains herself to not make her presence felt. By coasting under the radar, it only appears that she isn’t contributing, when it’s really just a poorer experience.
What impact does your attitude have on your experience? Do you have a mindset of limitation and scarcity, or completely uncritical acceptance?
If you are not producing the kind of leverage you know you’re capable of, start by looking at the payoff you’re getting out of your apathetic attitudes.
If they’re not serving you, take greater responsible for the part you play in influencing your mindset. Practice programing your thoughts more intentionally and positively.
It might not affect your outcome, but it will impact your experience.

What if there was zero chance of your making it with your current attitude?
